BIO

My older brothers were my inspiration to get into racing. They had bikes around home and with me being the youngest boy, my parents wanted to protect me from injury, so I didn’t start racing until I was around 15 years old, which is considered late for most professionals.

I entered the Byford Open in WA on a 85cc at that time and won, so that was it for me, I had the racing bug and wanted to ride professionally. I entered state level racing and ended up winning two senior Pro Lite Championships, which grabbed the attention of KTM to offer me a ride through Belmont Tools WA dealership team.

With Belmont Tools, I gained a lot of experience attending the national rounds and I had an opportunity to see what the competition was like on the east coast of Australia.  Back in WA, I won the WA Pro Lites Motocross Championship on the KTM 125 SX in both 2005 and 2006 and got second on the KTM 450 SX in the Pro Open. In 2007 I ended up winning the WA State Motocross Championship on the 450 SX in the Pro Open.

I landed a factory ride with Motorex KTM in 2008 to focus on the motocross for both national and state based events. I currently lead the WA Pro Open State Motocross Championship and it looks like I will take my second consecutive win, and for the National MX, I’m looking to secure a top five finish.

In the new Super X, my choice of bike is going to be the KTM 450 SX, and I will be competing in the Pro Open class. The competition is going to be tough with the likes of Chad Reed thrown in the mix, plus some of the unknown Americans that are coming over, but with the new racing format and longer tracks my motocross skills will come into play and I think I may surprise some of the usual supercross pros with what I can achieve.
