Born in Whitehaven, England, Honda Smart racer Louis Calvin moved to the antipodes when he was two years old, settling in Huntingdale, Western Australia.
Calvin took to two wheels at the tender age of three and was racing at just six.
Beginning his career at club level, Calvin quickly progressed to the national level taking second place on a 60cc machine in a WA-based event in 1998 at just nine years of age.
Racking up five junior state motocross titles in WA, Calvin stepped up to senior level racing in 2006 and entered the Australian Motocross Nationals fulltime.
On top of his national commitments, 2006 and 2007 also saw Calvin score second place in the WA Pro Lites motocross titles, with mechanical failures robbing him of the 2007 crown after a string of dominant performances.
With limited Supercross experience, Calvin has only one Western Australian state-level supercross series under his belt, but showed his winning ability by clinching the 2007 WA Pro Lites Supercross title.
Now in his third year of Pro Lites competition, the Australasian SuperX Championship is Calvin's first shot at contesting a national level supercross series.
