BIO

Joining Woodstock Honda Thor Racing to contest the 2008 Australian Motocross and Supercross Pro Lites Championships, Dean Ferris is a talented, young newcomer set to rock the established riders in the class. Ferris started racing at club level in 2001 and began steadily rising through the ranks, winning numerous junior championships along the way.

Contesting the 2006 Australian 125cc U16 Motocross title in a make or break year, Ferris finished strongly in second place with his impressive skills earning him a satellite team ride for 2007 Australian U19 Motocross Championship. Continuing to impress with his fast and intelligent brand of racing, Ferris shone on lesser equipment as compared to the factory riders and even won several motos, to finish in fourth place overall.

Stepping up to the Pro Lites class in the Queensland Motocross Championship series, Ferris wrestled a race win and finished as runner-up to four-time Australian Champion, Daniel Reardon. Producing lap times close to the stellar riding of Reardon attracted still more positive attention for the rising star.

Ferris made his debut aboard a Honda in the 2007 Oceania Motocross Championship where, despite being hurt in a massive crash in qualifying, he claimed fifth place in the Pro Lites class. A rookie in the Australian Pro Lites Motocross and Supercross Championships for 2008, Ferris clearly has both the ability and equipment to make his mark on the series with Woodstock Honda Thor Racing.
