BIO

A Supercross specialist, when Cheyne Boyd started racing bikes at the age of 10 little did he know that he would be making his debut at a national level just nine years later.

At the age of 19, Boyd competed in selected rounds of the Australian Supercross Championship and two years later scored his first factory supported ride.

In 2005, Boyd joined Craig Dack’s highly respected team and recorded his first top three finish in the Australian Supercross Championship.  The following year, Boyd went one better and after a string of podium finishes was second overall at the end of the five rounds of the series.

Last year, Boyd once again placed together a number of strong Supercross results and was the only rider to challenge Daniel Reardon for the title.  Later that year, a broken leg sidelined the YZ450F rider for the majority of the motocross season and since making a full recovery in 2008 Boyd has already shown he has the form which will make him a front runner in Super X.
