Some of Australia’s top dirt bike riders have been tearing up their new stomping grounds around Australia this week prior to tickets for the first five Super X events going on sale this Sunday 20 July.
Riders and football stars in Sydney, Wollongong and Geelong put on a show for media, filling stadiums with the rev of motorbikes and a small taste of what to expect when Super X storms into venues around the country in October and November.
First up self confessed dirt bike fan and Parramatta Eels star, Nathan Hindmarsh, was extremely stoked when presented with personalised Fox Racing gear and saddled up alongside leading Australian racer Craig Anderson. The pair rode through the entry tunnel to meet with waiting photographers and news crews with Hindmarsh enjoying the roll instead of the regular stroll out onto the playing field.
After watching Anderson do a few wheelies, Hindmarsh couldn’t help but get involved and even popped a few himself. They then took the bikes for a spin around the stadium riding up and down the grandstand that will be packed with fans on the November 8 event.
Whilst this was going on former Geelong Cats great, Billy Brownless, also donned some personal Fox Racing gear and was accompanied by Kade Mosig and Cheyne Boyd. They all took a ride down the steps of Skilled Stadium and spoke about what it will be like when the normal whistles and cheers of a Cats AFL match is replaced by the revs and explosive action of the third round of Super X.
Local Wollongong racing brothers Jay and Ryan Marmont also showed fellow Wollongong brothers , Josh and Brett Morris from the Dragons Rugby League team what they could expect when Super X takes over WIN stadium on November 15.
